I had to design some mannequins for the shop window at work and they were supposed to be current fashion outfits, but me being me, I decided to revisit some classy outfits from the past (with a bit of a modern twist) instead.
The photos of the mannequins are in my scraps, but I also did a design for each one, just to practice some different eras of illustration.
This is my 1940s inspired outfit. It consists of a teal wool jacket, printed cotton skirt and burnt orange knit scarf. The accessory is made of a large diamante button and a feather corsage.
